Seattle has a history of being a haven for music lovers, whether you’re talking about the grunge movement or not. So if you’re one of the Seattle folk who’ll be heading to the Coachella Music Festival this year, you’ll be in good company.
Coachella runs from April 16-18 this year, and musical performances by the likes of Jay-Z, Muse, Gorillaz, Vampire Weekend, Public Image Limited, Grace Jones, Echo & the Bunnymen, Faith No More, Devo, Pavement, Phoenix, Orbital, Spoon, Sly &

Okay, so for the last few articles on this site we’ve been talking about how you should visit Seattle, or how making a trip up to Vancouver BC from Seattle is easy to do (whether it’s for the Olympics or not), but let’s face it - at this time of year, who wants to be in Seattle or Vancouver when there are places further south with sun-drenched beaches in the middle of winter?

The city has an incredibly pleasant downtown area,

With St. Patrick’s just round the corner here is a must for everyone. Check out the week long festivities starting on March 11th at the Fado’s Home site.
There is a pub downtown on 1st and Columbia that has become my “Cheers” pub, Fado’s Irish Pub. Sure, it might be part of a chain with a total of 15 Fado’s spread over the US, but its the staff that makes the difference, not to mention the food!!
