Thursday, July 3 – All Access Night at EMP|SFM

EMP|SFM offers free admission and live music from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the first Thursday evening of every month. July’s All Access Night at EMP|SFM will feature Elspeth Savani at 6 and 7 p.m in Sky Church. Savani’s singing is strongly rooted in Cuban son - rhythmic and improvisatory. Her quartet features song forms from all over Latin America with a heavy infusion of jazz harmony. She has been singing for and directing Orchestra Zarabanda (formerly Yerbabuena), a 10-piece Cuban charanga band, for the better part of a decade. Savani’srecent release, Gallo que Canta received radio play internationally and critical acclaim. She was nominated by Earshot Jazz as “Best Emerging Artist” of 2007. All Access Nights are sponsored by The Boeing Company.
Time: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
