The 4th of July arrived in grand style with a large group of us meeting at the sculpture park down by the water. Arriving to find a spot on the grass around 7pm we relaxed till the sun went down at 9.30pm and at 10pm sharp the firework barge began its magic.
The hotdogs were delicious, the fireworks spectacular and the company great. The only downer being the lack of flags and funny hats showing the cities support of Independence day. One british traveler commented that it felt more like memorial day with fireworks.
But, a good time was had by all and the fireworks generated many oohs and aahs from the crowds.
