Seattle Festivals: Take a “Bite of Seattle”

Come one come all to the annual Bite Of Seattle extravaganza. If you like food, or nibbles or anything to do with delectable tastes be sure to make your way over to the Seattle Center at the base of the Space Needle this weekend.

Presented by Emerald Queen Casino this festival isn’t just about food, there will be arts and crafts, games and contests. Not to mention music and comedy shows. The best part is its FREE!

Where to see fireworks on the 4th of July!

Well the time is here again to dress in red, white and blue, pull out the BBQ and light up a few fireworks (being careful of course). Here is a list of some the best places to see the all the fanfair, but be sure to get there early before all the spaces are filled.

Seattle Pride Parade today!

Join us downtown to celebrate Gay Pride with one of the biggest parades in the country. Starting at 4th and Union downtown the parade will wind its way through town ending at Denny Way. Be sure to get there early to secure a good viewing spot.

Amtrak - getting there by bus or train

Amtrak is pretty good form of transport and over the numerous times I have used them I have seldom been disappointed. Whether you are travelling North to Canada or South to California or East to Idaho, you are sure to find a train or an amtrak bus heading in that direction.

Be sure to book as far in advance as you can, since tickets are cheaper and if you are a student invest in an ISIC card as you save upto 25%. If you wait too long to book your ticket the price will sky rocket.
