The First Winter Storms…

The first winter storms arrived in grand form and mother nature let her voice be heard and felt, during the last week.
From hurricane winds to torrential rain, many Seattle residents were forced to flee to shelters.
But it was not only the locals that felt the power of the storms, travelers from around the globe were forced to frantically adjust travel plans as they were cut off from heading south out of the city. Due to mudslides not only Greyhound but also Amtrak were required to cancel trips towards Portland. Greyhound finally started running a few buses on a 7hour detour through Snoqualmie Pass.
All this started on Sunday and it seems that things are finally clearing up with one lane opening on the I-5. Lets hope this isn’t a preview to the rest of the season…
