Making Fall Travel Plans for Seattle
Summer may be in full swing, but that’s no reason to put off planning a fall trip. In fact, this is the ideal time to plan fall travels, since it’s far easier to find fall travel deals when you’re planning in advance rather than waiting until the last minute.
Even though Seattle isn’t necessarily one of the top tourist cities in the United States, travelers to Seattle shouldn’t just assume that they’ll always be able to find discounted airfare or cheap Seattle hotels. Sure, a trip to Seattle may be cheaper than a trip to New York, but budget travelers still need to do their homework to make sure they get the best prices. In particular, if you’re planning to come to Seattle to experience the city’s excellent music and arts celebration – the Bumbershoot Festival – which takes place over Labor Day weekend every year, you’d be smart to book in advance.
Anyone who’s familiar with the weather in the Pacific Northwest knows that Labor Day weekend, despite being the unofficial end of summer, offers no guarantee of sunny weather. In fact, there have been plenty of Bumbershoot Festivals where umbrellas were de rigeur. But September also has a reputation for being one of the most beautiful months weather-wise in the Pacific Northwest – so even if you get a little drizzle over the festival, stay long enough and you’re sure to experience the glorious early fall weather locals rave about.
