Plan your next weekend getaway

It’s a known fact that this summer many of us have decided not to take any vacation during summer. Whether we want to make sure we keep the jobs or just don’t have the money to plan a vacation, we are still stuck with only the weekends off. But, don’t worry! You can spend a lovely weekend and forget the hustle and bustle of the work days if you know how to look for weekend travel deals .

The biggest expense will be the flight. Typically flights are more expensive during the weekend, unless you either grab a special offer or a last minute deal. Also, fly at the cheapest times of the day. Those are either early in the morning or very late at night. You can fly out on the latest flight on Friday and return early or late on Sunday (depending on your Monday work schedule).

There are plenty of flights from Seattle for under $300 to choose from. In fact, you can even get away with $199 (San Francisco and Boise).

However, choosing the weekend getaway also depends on the accommodation. And here, you will need to know how to navigate the last minute deals sites. Or, find a camping and pack your tent. It’s cheap and fun, especially during the summer.

Remember that you can drive your own car to the airport. Just book the parking at Seattle airport when you buy the plane ticket and you’ll both save money on transfers and ensure your car is safe until you get back.
